Cyber School Delivers High-Spec Lenovo Desktops to 10 TVET Institutions to Strengthen Digital Learning

Cyber School Technology Solutions has taken another major step in transforming digital education in Uganda through the delivery of high-specification Lenovo desktop computers to ten Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions across the country. The initiative, implemented under the Uganda eLearning Initiative, aims to improve digital accessibility, online learning, and student engagement through Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other digital learning tools.


Each of the ten partner institutions received 25 brand-new Lenovo desktop computers, significantly strengthening their computer laboratories and providing students with the technology needed to access modern learning platforms. Expanding Digital Access in TVET Institutions The newly delivered desktops will support students in accessing Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital collaboration tools, online resources, and productivity applications, helping institutions integrate technology into teaching and learning. The beneficiary institutions include:
    1. Acholi – Northern Uganda Youth Development Centre 2. Bugisu – Bududa Vocational Academy 3. Teso – St. Kizito Technical Institute 4. Sebei – Kapchorwa Technical Institute 5. Bugisu – Mbale Municipality Community Polytechnic 6. Acholi – Kilak Corner Technical Institute 7. Lango – Uganda Technical College (UTC) Lira 8. Bugisu – Uganda Technical College Elgon 9. West Nile – Amelo Technical Institute 10. Teso – Nakapiripirit Technical Institute

With 250 new desktops distributed across the institutions, the project significantly improves the digital infrastructure required to support blended and online learning environments. Supporting eLearning and Digital Skills Development The computers are expected to enhance access to Learning Management Systems (LMS) where students can:
    • Access digital course materials • Participate in online learning activities • Submit assignments • Engage with instructors and peers through collaborative tools • Attend virtual classes and digital training sessions
This investment strengthens the ability of TVET institutions to deliver market-relevant skills and digital competencies, which are increasingly essential in today's workforce.
